I was pleased that my previous book about my childhood in Singapore and Malaya, 'Sampans, Banyans and Rambutans' rekindled so many people's memories of the happy times they spent there during the 1950s,1960s and 1970s.
I heard from people all over the world, all with memories and stories of their own, which I've collected together in this book.
They include stories and photos from servicemen, as well as from their children, and I hope that they will give a real flavour of what it was like to live there at the time.
