Things were not looking good until our friends suggested we buy the four by four in Germany..
For one thing all the cars were left hand drive, and for another cars were cheaper in Germany..
This seemed like a good plan so we arranged for Andrew (my son ) to fly to Munich a week Monday 20/6/05 and we would drive the Barchetta and meet him at the Munich airport..
We spent the rest of the weekend with our friends, and on Monday we drove down to see family and spend some time with them..
By Thursday we were ready to start our journey..
We left Wales at around four in the afternoon. We had bits and pieces to do before we left the country..
One of the things we had to do was collect our visas from the Bulgarian embassy..
I had spoken to them the day before and they said that they were ready for collection..
They Embassy is only open in the mornings from 9am to 11am so that took care of Friday morning..
Thursday evening and we were in London. We booked a room for the night and travelled to the embassy the following morning..
We posted Andrew’s passport back to him by special delivery so that he would have it to fly to Munich on the Monday..
Then we drove to Dover and booked into a lodge room two minutes away from the ferry. . Next Page? Click here
